Can I connect a Hawking HOD45B to Extreme 4th /5th gen.and 1st gen network to extend range outside. Lose connection in back yard and mid way in front yard with 3 apple devices connected.

As you know, it is possible to extend a network using either a wired Ethernet connection or via wireless only. You don't indicate "how" you are trying to connect the Hawking device to your network.

Should we guess that you are trying to use wireless to have the Hawking connect, or will it connect back to one of the Apple AirPorts using a permanent, wired Ethernet cable connection?

If you are trying to use wireless to connect the Hawking, Apple uses proprietary settings for their "extend" function, which are designed to only allow other Apple routers to connect and extend the network. So, it is extremely unlikely that a third party product would be able to connect to an Apple network wirelessly and extend the network that way.

If the Hawking will connect using a wired Ethernet connection, then there should be settings that would allow the device to be set up and work in "Bridge Mode", or "Access Point Mode".

Using a wireless connection, I have yet to find a product from another manufacturer that was compatible with Apple's "extend" function, but I also have not tested a Hawing device, so I suppose that anything is possible though.

Thanks for the clarification. You have a question for Hawking support, namely to ask them how to change the DHCP address range on the Hawking device to match the 10.0.1.x that Apple uses.

If the device has a "Bridge" setting or "Access Point" setting, then it should automatically pick up the DHCP range of the Apple network. In other words, in "Bridge" or Access Point" mode, the Hawking will not distribute IP addresses at all, it will pick up IP addresses from the upstream Apple router and pass them through to connected devices.

I'm not recommending that you do this.....because it may result in some unpredictable results......but it is possible to change the DHCP range that the Apple network uses to 192.168.1.x, if that what might be what you are really asking here.

Again, I am not recommending that you do this unless Hawking support advises that this will be necessary. You don't want to be "experimenting" here.....that can result in your entire network going down.
